Upcycled Waste Holders

The Peak Pouch Turns 5,180 Tons of Park Waste into Trash Bag Holders

References: behance.net

The Peak Pouch is a trash bag holder made from upcycled park waste that reuses material diverted from landfill. The design compacts recycled plastics and fabric remnants collected from park maintenance and public cleanup initiatives into a series of holders sized to fit standard trash bags. Each Peak Pouch functions as a structural frame that supports the bag opening and helps keep the bag upright without the need for a rigid bin, making it suitable for temporary clean-up stations, outdoor events, or informal waste collection.

The holders are produced in varied forms to accommodate different bag capacities, and the recycled content is selected to balance durability, flexibility, and resistance to environmental exposure. Production techniques aim to minimize additional processing energy by using consolidated waste feedstock directly in the molding or pressing stages. The Peak Pouch offers a practical reuse pathway for park waste while providing a functional accessory for waste management in community spaces.
