Mitsubishi Electric and Semikron Danfoss jointly developed a new standard power module package that integrates a 3-level T-type circuit, designed for industrial drive equipment and renewable energy systems. Built on Mitsubishi Electric's LV100-type package and Semikron Danfoss's SEMITRANS20, the new design optimizes terminal layout for 3-level inverter efficiency and ensures compatibility between both companies' products.

Compared with conventional 2-level circuits, 3-level circuits reduce power consumption, enable smaller peripheral components, and offer greater design flexibility, making them increasingly attractive as industrial operators pursue deeper energy efficiency gains. The optimized arrangement of the main electrode and auxiliary control terminals further expands customers' inverter design options.

The joint package demonstrates how standardized hardware solutions can lower barriers to more efficient electricity conversion at scale.
