SAP Launches New Sustainability Data Management Solutions
Georgia Wray Norsten — October 17, 2025SAP has introduced a suite of Sustainability Data Management solutions designed to help organizations unify environmental and operational data across their value chains, improving accuracy in sustainability reporting and compliance with emerging global regulations. Announced at the company’s annual Sapphire event, the tools form part of SAP’s Business Data Cloud (BDC), a platform that integrates information from SAP systems and third-party sources to create a centralized sustainability data environment.
The new portfolio includes validated datasets for air, water, and wastewater emissions, as well as integration with SAP Sustainability Footprint Management and the SAP Sustainability Control Tower. Together, these tools enable companies to measure and act on key ESG metrics -- covering carbon, resource use, and supplier practices -- within their existing enterprise systems.
SAP’s Sustainability Data Management expansion underscores its position as a frontrunner in enterprise ESG technology. By embedding sustainability intelligence into operational workflows, SAP empowers companies to transition from reactive compliance to proactive strategy -- enhancing transparency, optimizing reporting efficiency, and aligning business decisions with environmental performance and long-term resilience.
