Sustainable Stainless-Steel Manufacturing

Viraj Profiles, a manufacturer of stainless-steel products based in India, has formally launched a comprehensive environmental strategy termed the 'Net Zero' Initiative, which aims to systematically reduce the ecological impact of its industrial operations and deliver sustainable stainless-steel manufacturing.

Viraj Profiles' Net Zero program involves a concerted evaluation of the company's entire production sequence, from the intake of raw materials to the output of finished goods. The company will strive to diminish waste generation, conserve water and energy resources, and integrate more advanced, lower-emission technologies into its manufacturing processes.

The initiative consolidates and provides a formal structure for various sustainability measures already being implemented at Viraj Profiles' primary facility, reflecting a corporate philosophy that positions environmental responsibility as an integral component of daily operational practice. Mr. Neeraj Kochhar, Chairman at Viraj Profiles, confirms: "Sustainability has to be more than compliance. For us, it is a daily practice and responsibility."
