Novelis' aluminum has contributed recycled aluminum materials to the regeneration of Torre Seta in Milan, a redevelopment project that prioritizes sustainable construction and resource-efficient design. Instead of demolishing the damaged structure, the project preserves the existing reinforced concrete core, reducing construction waste and minimizing the environmental impact associated with new structural materials.

As part of the redevelopment, Novelis supplied "35 tons of aluminum alloy containing 90% recycled content, supporting the project’s focus on circular material use and lower-carbon building practices." The alloy was produced at Novelis’ Pieve Emanuele facility in Italy, where recycled aluminum significantly reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions compared with primary aluminum production.

By incorporating high recycled content materials and adaptive reuse strategies, the Torre Seta project demonstrates how urban redevelopment can support low-carbon construction, material efficiency, and sustainable city infrastructure.
