Water-Saving Dam Sealants

SOCO has introduced water-saving dam sealants with DAMSEALER, a granular polymer designed to repair leaks in ponds, reservoirs, and soil-lined water structures without draining them. Unlike conventional repairs involving excavation or liner installation, the material absorbs water and expands into soil openings, creating a flexible barrier that helps prevent further seepage.

The polymer features moisture-activated swelling properties that allow it to settle into cracks and irregular channels while maintaining stability under water pressure. Its granules can be distributed across water surfaces using boats, drones, or manual equipment, simplifying treatment in difficult-to-access areas. The recommended application rate is 1kg per 10 square meters.

For agricultural operators and municipal water managers, DAMSEALER could lower maintenance expenses while preserving valuable water supplies. Its straightforward application also creates opportunities for contractors to offer less disruptive repairs, particularly in regions experiencing drought and irrigation restrictions.
