Polymer-Reducing Nanobubbles

Solenis and Moleaer Target More Efficient Wastewater Treatment

Polymer-reducing nanobubbles are improving solids-liquid separation as Solenis integrates Moleaer’s technology into its Novera Nanobubble Performance Program. The system introduces gas bubbles measuring less than 200 nanometers into the make-down water used to dilute and activate flocculant polymers. In applicable water and wastewater treatment processes, the approach can reduce polymer consumption by 10% to 40% while increasing cake dryness by 2% to 4%.

For industrial and municipal operators, improving polymer performance could lower chemical consumption and reduce the amount of material requiring transportation and disposal after treatment. The technology can be applied across dewatering, thickening, and clarification processes while enhancing existing treatment programs without requiring major capital investments. Solenis’ global representation agreement with Moleaer also creates a pathway for deploying the technology across a broader customer base as operators seek to manage treatment costs and improve resource efficiency.
