Integrated Water Treatment Modeling
DuPont Combines Filtration into One Design Platform
Mursal Rahman — July 9, 2026Integrated water treatment modeling is advancing through DuPont's enhanced WAVE PRO platform, which brings ultrafiltration, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, and nanofiltration design into a single digital environment. Instead of relying on separate simulations for each technology, engineers can model complete water treatment systems with greater accuracy while accounting for interactions between multiple filtration processes. The platform also supports collaborative project design and evaluates complex configurations such as recycle streams and closed-loop systems for municipal, industrial, wastewater, and desalination applications.
For utilities and industrial operators, integrated modeling can reduce engineering time, minimize manual errors, and improve confidence in system performance before construction begins. More accurate digital planning also helps optimize membrane use, lower energy consumption, and extend equipment life, reducing long-term operating costs. As water infrastructure becomes more complex, unified design platforms are becoming valuable tools for delivering more efficient, reliable, and sustainable treatment systems.
