Yusen Logistics Partners with Allchiefs on New Carbon Plan
Colin Smith — February 12, 2026References: consultancy.eu & yusen-logistics
Yusen Logistics has partnered with AllChiefs to develop a carbon insetting service branded Alternative Fuel, designed to help clients reduce emissions within their own supply chains while retaining commercial value. The collaboration combined Yusen’s logistics network with AllChiefs’ expertise in designing book and claim solutions and commercialising sustainable fuel offerings. The partners set joint ambitions to position Yusen as a leader in sustainable logistics by 2030 and to create a marketable product that integrates fuel switching, verified emission reductions, and customer reporting.
The offering targets emissions that occur inside customers’ logistics operations by enabling the purchase and allocation of low carbon fuels and related interventions where direct deployment is not feasible. Implementation work included aligning internal capabilities, defining commercial terms, and developing verification and tracking mechanisms to ensure transparency and measurable outcomes for clients. Yusen and AllChiefs describe the solution as a way to combine operational decarbonisation with customer value, enabling companies to meet sustainability commitments while maintaining supply chain continuity.
