An eco-friendly, resource-circulating energy facility is planned for the Bomun Golf Course in Gyeongju, operated by the Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation, as part of efforts to advance sustainable tourism infrastructure.

Recently, the corporation signed an agreement with Seorabeol City Gas at the Bomun Golf Club to develop renewable energy systems and enhance environmental performance across the site. The project centers on the installation of a hydrogen fuel cell power generation facility on unused land within the golf course. Waste heat generated during production will be recovered and reused to support heating and cooling systems in facilities such as the clubhouse and sauna, improving overall energy efficiency.

Separately, a circular economy initiative is underway in partnership with Superbin and Woosinsan. This program deploys an AI-powered collection system dubbed Nephron to gather PET bottles on-site, which are then processed into recycled materials and transformed into customized golf course merchandise, including branded head covers.
