Carbon Removal Certifications

Isometric signed its first three Chinese carbon removal project developers, giving DeCarbon Tech, Tongao Greenchar, and Vastwing Energy access to international buyers through scientifically rigorous certification. DeCarbon Tech captures atmospheric CO₂ through direct air capture and permanent mineralization, while Tongao Greenchar and Vastwing Energy convert agricultural and forestry residues into durable biochar for soil applications.

China's path to net zero by 2060 will require an estimated three billion tonnes of carbon removal annually, and the country is uniquely positioned to deliver at scale. Its renewable power buildout is lowering DAC deployment costs, while agricultural residues alone could produce an estimated 470 million tonnes of biochar-based removal per year.
