Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) today announced the rollout of its newly designed Debit Mastercard, manufactured from 100 percent recycled, PVC-free plastic.

The upgraded debit card is available at no cost to customers who open a new account at any BPI branch, as well as to existing clients whose cards are approaching expiration or scheduled for renewal. Cardholders who prefer to transition to the recycled, PVC-free version ahead of their renewal date may request a replacement for a standard fee of P200.

In addition to its sustainable composition, the new Debit Mastercard incorporates accessibility-focused features, such as a distinct curved notch in the lower-left corner that enables users to identify and properly orient the card by touch. While the materials and design have been modernized, the card retains reliable functionality and security features.
