Freshflow Raised $10 Million to Scale Its AI Grocery Waste Reduction Tool
Adam Harrie — June 3, 2026Freshflow closed a $10 million Series A funding round led by Germany-based Reimann Investors to expand its AI-driven grocery waste reduction platform across Europe. The Berlin-based startup's technology automates inventory management, ordering and demand forecasting for fresh food categories, helping supermarkets reduce spoilage and improve margins.
European grocers generate roughly €720 billion in annual fresh food sales, with nearly a third lost to waste. Freshflow's platform is already live at nine retailers across Germany and France, including Edeka, Carrefour and Intermarché. The funding will support expansion into new European markets, coverage of additional fresh categories such as meat and bakery by Q4, and the hiring of more than 30 employees over the next year.
Freshflow shows how automation platforms targeting structural food waste can help grocers improve efficiency while reducing waste.
