Low-Power Thermal Cameras
Leopard Imaging is expanding low-power thermal cameras with DragonFire, an uncooled infrared module designed for embedded industrial applications. The compact camera combines 640 x 512 thermal resolution with real-time imaging at 30 or 60 Hz and temperature measurement capabilities reaching up to 600°C. Its high thermal sensitivity allows equipment and heat signatures to be monitored in conditions where conventional visible-light cameras may provide limited information. The 58-gram module also consumes less than 1 W of power, supporting integration into space- and energy-constrained systems.
DragonFire could expand Leopard Imaging’s reach across industrial inspection, automation, night vision and equipment monitoring applications. Its combination of thermal imaging and temperature measurement within a single compact module could simplify the addition of infrared sensing to embedded systems. This gives manufacturers another way to integrate continuous thermal monitoring into increasingly automated industrial environments.
