London Stock Exchange Group has introduced a new suite of ESG scores and sustainability analytics designed to increase transparency and comparability across global financial markets. The tools include a standardized framework built on 220 indicators aligned with ISSB, GRI, SASB, and ESRS, enabling users to assess how companies manage material ESG risks and opportunities. According to the announcements, the system covers more than 16,000 companies representing over 90 percent of global market capitalization and integrates modular overlays that provide additional insights on controversies, sovereign risk, and green revenue signals. The solutions are embedded within LSEG Workspace to support flexible access for investors and institutions seeking to incorporate ESG considerations into automated and data driven workflows.

The launch is intended to help financial institutions meet evolving sustainability reporting requirements and strengthen analytical capabilities for capital allocation, benchmarking, and engagement. LSEG stated that the redesigned materiality matrix and curated indicators aim to simplify ESG evaluation while maintaining alignment with global regulatory frameworks. By expanding the availability of structured ESG data and advanced scoring methodologies, the initiative supports broader market efforts to improve the consistency and reliability of sustainability information.
