Upcycled Makeup Ingredients

Sun Chemical has launched its 'ACI-5000 SunPURO Natural V. Charcoal Powder,' a 100% natural-origin ingredient derived from upcycled paper and pulp by-products, offering cosmetics formulators a clean-label alternative to conventional opacifiers. The upcycled natural cosmetics ingredient provides detoxifying and oil-control benefits for skincare masks, cleansers and rinse-off formulations without compromising performance.

The launch expands the SunPURO Naturals line and debuts at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day trade show in New York City on May 19 and 20 alongside a growing range of synthetic mica-based effect pigments.
