Recycled Wine Turbine Benches
Clarksville Parks & Recreation Taps Noblewins to Craft Park Benches
Kanesa D — October 8, 2025Clarksville Parks and Recreation, together with local artists and community organizations, has introduced innovative new seating and tables to Valleybrook Park.
The park now features six benches and two tables crafted from recycled wind turbine blades, giving retired turbine materials a sustainable second life. Designed and built by Noblewins, these sturdy pieces not only provide comfortable spots for visitors to relax but also help divert hundreds of pounds of waste from landfills, combining practicality with environmental responsibility.
The benches were painted by students at Austin Peay State University, spotlighting motifs inspired by the park's pollinator theme and its connection to nature. Three students in particular, Eden Reece, Emilia Beck, and Yesenia Roldan Ponce were selected and compensated for their work on the benches from the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council.
