On-Site PFAS Destruction

Claros Technologies is bringing permanent PFAS destruction directly into industrial manufacturing through a full-scale ClarosTechUV deployment at Daikin’s Decatur, Alabama facility. Following pilot testing and commercial optimization, the continuously operating UV-based system will destroy target PFAS compounds where they are generated rather than relying solely on capture, concentration, and off-site disposal. The installation will also integrate ClarosLabs analytical testing to continuously measure treatment performance and verify results during operations.

The commercial deployment gives manufacturers a potential pathway for incorporating PFAS treatment directly into existing facilities as regulatory requirements become more stringent. For Claros, moving from pilot demonstrations to a long-term industrial installation provides commercial validation for its platform and creates opportunities for additional deployments. The strategic agreement also allows Claros and Daikin to evaluate further applications across Daikin’s global operations, potentially expanding the technology into additional manufacturing sites and waste streams.
