Bin Distribution Campaigns

Recycle Everywhere is rolling out a provincewide recycling bin distribution campaign following research indicating that accessibility and convenience continue to be major obstacles to beverage container recycling among Manitoba residents.

The program, branded 'You’ve Bin Asking,' will provide free recycling bins to communities throughout Manitoba during the spring and summer months. Planned distribution locations include Winnipeg, Gimli, Steinbach, Brandon, Thompson, as well as additional communities across southern Manitoba.

“This initiative was developed directly from listening to Manitobans,” said Jill Knaggs, director of stakeholder relations at CBCRA. “Most people in our province already understand the importance of recycling, and many are doing their part. Our role is to continue removing barriers, improving access and making beverage container recycling as easy as possible.”

To support a range of residential needs, the initiative will offer multiple recycling solutions, including standard bins for detached homes, portable pop-up recycling bags, and collection containers tailored for multi-residential environments such as apartment buildings, condominiums, and mixed-use developments.
