Brazilian brand Riachuelo is updating its sustainability-driven denim platform, Pool Loop, through the introduction of a new generation of jeans developed with a more circular material composition. The collection incorporates viscose blended with 20% recycled cotton waste sourced from both pre- and post-consumer streams, alongside biomass-based elastane derived from sugarcane.

This material innovation was achieved through a multi-partner collaboration involving Lenzing Group, Creora, and Canatiba Têxtil. Together, the partners contributed to the creation of a fabric designed to integrate performance, scalability, and reduced environmental impact.

The rollout includes a curated assortment of five silhouettes—spanning women’s and men’s jeans alongside a jacket—with production exceeding 10,000 units. The collection was introduced across 97 Riachuelo concept stores nationwide beginning March 30, and is also available through the brand’s official e-commerce website.
