10-Foot Recycling Containers
Richmond Recycling Depot Makes Recycling Oil and Antifreeze Easier
Kanesa D — February 20, 2026The Richmond Recycling Depot has expanded its capacity for handling automotive fluids with the addition of a new 10-foot container dedicated to used motor oil recycling. The upgrade supports the work of Interchange Recycling, the not-for-profit organization responsible for collecting and processing used motor oil, oil filters, oil containers, and antifreeze products across British Columbia.
The larger container enables the depot to collect and store greater volumes of used oil, antifreeze, pails, filters, and related materials, improving operational efficiency and local service capacity.
"Interchange Recycling not only supports the rollout of new infrastructure for our program materials, but also regularly upgrades that infrastructure to meet evolving needs and ensure the safe and secure handling of materials,” said Jenn Robson, director of operations with Interchange Recycling.
