Rockwell Automation is Collaborating with Energy Observer

Rockwell Automation, a corporation specializing in industrial control systems, is extending its partnership with Energy Observer, an organization focused on developing maritime vessels powered by sustainable energy sources. This collaboration is centered on the Energy Observer 3 — or the EO3, for short.
The Energy Observer 3 ship is designed as a floating test platform for a diverse array of zero-emission technologies. The vessel's proposed energy system is notably complex. It incorporates an ammonia-based hydrogen fuel system, multiple types of fuel cells, a combustion engine modified to run on ammonia, and supplementary renewable sources such as automated sails and solar panels. Rockwell Automation will contribute its expertise in automation, data management, and control systems to integrate and manage these various power generation and storage systems.
