Recycled Powder Waste Filaments
Filamentive Debuts the RPA12 Made from Recycled MJF Powder
Kanesa D — February 25, 2026UK-based materials supplier Filamentive has introduced rPA12, a new nylon 12 filament made entirely from recycled waste powder generated by Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) production. The product is designed for industrial and professional FFF/FDM 3D printing applications where PA12 is commonly specified for its strength, durability, and chemical resistance.
Filamentive’s rPA12 addresses common recyclability challenges by converting surplus powder into high-performance filament for fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM) printers. By redirecting material that would otherwise go to waste, the company is creating a new value stream from industrial byproducts.
The filament was developed in partnership with 3devo, a specialist in extrusion and recycling systems for additive manufacturing materials. Together, the companies engineered a process to transform aged MJF powder into consistent, production-ready filament suitable for demanding applications.
