Wind Energy Conference Agreements
Singapore Signed a Multi-Way MoU to Advance Wind Energy Sector
Colin Smith — December 3, 2025DN Media Group (RECHARGE), Hamburg Messe und Congress, Enterprise Singapore, and the Singapore Tourism Board have signed a multi‑year Memorandum of Understanding to stage a series of wind energy conferences and exhibitions in Singapore from 2026 through 2029, including a two‑day RECHARGE Wind Power Summit Asia‑Pacific in 2026 and a flagship WindEnergy Asia‑Pacific event.
The Memorandum of Understanding formalizes collaboration between DN Media Group AS (RECHARGE) and Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) as event organizers and Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as local partners to host wind‑industry conferences and exhibitions in Singapore from 2026 to 2029. The agreement was signed during industry events in Hamburg and was witnessed by senior officials, signaling government‑level support for the initiative. Under the MOU, EnterpriseSG and STB will provide facilitation and promotional support while RECHARGE and HMC will lead programming and exhibition delivery, with the initial schedule including a two‑day RECHARGE Wind Power Summit Asia‑Pacific powered by WindEnergy Hamburg in 2026 and a three‑day WindEnergy Asia‑Pacific flagship event in subsequent years.
The parties frame the collaboration as a strategic effort to accelerate wind‑sector development in the Asia‑Pacific region by bringing WindEnergy Hamburg’s established exhibition format to Singapore, marking the first major expansion of the WindEnergy series outside Europe. The MOU emphasizes objectives such as convening industry stakeholders, catalyzing project pipelines, and supporting market development through knowledge exchange, trade facilitation, and investor engagement. EnterpriseSG and STB position the events as opportunities to showcase Singapore as a regional hub for renewable energy business and meetings activity, while organizers expect the programme to attract international exhibitors, technical delegations, and policy participants to advance wind deployment in the region.
