AI-Based Sustainability Projects

The Elias Project is an interdisciplinary research initiative that applies artificial intelligence to sustainable innovation challenges, focusing on the development of AI methods and tools that support environmental resilience, resource efficiency, and socially inclusive technological transitions. The programme combines theoretical research with applied pilots to demonstrate how machine learning, data analytics, and decision‑support systems can be integrated into circular‑economy workflows, renewable‑energy planning, and sustainable materials management to improve forecasting, optimise resource allocation, and reduce environmental impacts.

The project emphasises collaborative research, capacity building, and technology transfer by engaging academic partners, industry stakeholders, and community actors in co‑design processes that align AI capabilities with local needs and regulatory contexts.
