Polyamide Wiring Solutions

Vimar SpA has introduced its Linea series, a new range of electrical wiring devices and smart home solutions designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance or design.

The switch mounting frames are produced using Envalior’s Durethan Blue BKV60H2.0EF, a polyamide 6 compound derived from approximately 90% circular raw materials. Combined with more efficient production processes and sustainably certified packaging, the innovation has cut the product line’s carbon footprint by over 80% compared to fossil-based alternatives—equivalent to an annual reduction of around 500 tons of CO₂ emissions.

“Sustainable construction materials such as Envalior’s circular Durethan are an important element in our corporate strategy of aligning all our processes and products with the circular economy through the use of green energy, sustainable raw material management, and highly efficient technologies," said Sandro Bernardi, industrial operations director at Vimar.
