Aircraft Financing Rounds
American aerospace company JetZero has closed a senior secured term loan of up to $100 million in its Z4 program financing round, led by Pinegrove Partners and Silicon Valley Bank, to accelerate development of its all-wing Z4 airplane. The aircraft is designed to reduce fuel burn and emissions by up to 50% compared with conventional tube-and-wing planes of similar passenger capacity.
Proceeds will fund technology maturation, manufacturing of the Jet1 demonstrator aircraft and the buildout of JetZero's production and test facilities in Greensboro, North Carolina. The company expects to hire more than 14,000 people in North Carolina over the next decade to support Z4 production, with the aircraft entering service in the early 2030s.
JetZero's all-wing design shows how aircraft innovation could unlock significant efficiency gains in fuel burn.
