Arbon Removes Carbon Dioxide Without Heat or Pressure
Kalin Ned — February 16, 2026References: arboncorp
Arbon, a climate technology startup based in Brooklyn, New York, developed a humidity-swing carbon capture solution capable of removing carbon dioxide from both ambient air and industrial point sources without requiring heat or pressure. This innovation offers a fundamentally different approach to existing capture methods.
Arbon's humidity-swing carbon capture technology operates through a cyclic process driven solely by changes in humidity. This, in turn, is expected to significantly reduce through a cyclic process driven solely by changes in humidity. The versatile platform is designed to integrate with downstream utilization and storage systems, enabling complete carbon circularity by feeding captured CO₂ into applications such as sustainable aviation fuel production, concrete mineralization, urea synthesis for fertilizers, and beverage carbonation.
By eliminating the need for high-temperature regeneration typically associated with other capture technologies, Arbon positions its solution as a low-cost, low-maintenance alternative that could scale across multiple industries.
