AI-Powered Wave Energy Systems
Eco Wave Power has completed the first stage of its AI-powered wave energy systems project, introducing a digital twin designed to simulate ocean conditions and predict electricity generation. Developed alongside Germany-based AI engineering GmbH, the technology creates a virtual representation of wave interactions, helping engineers assess system performance before physical deployment.
The initial model examines floater movements, structural pressures, and potential electricity output across changing sea conditions. Early machine-learning features support energy forecasting, while NVIDIA computing technologies assist with simulation and visualization. Future development phases aim to incorporate operational sensors and additional predictive capabilities.
For renewable energy developers, this approach could improve equipment planning, reduce engineering uncertainties, and support expansion into new coastal markets. Eco Wave Power is also exploring opportunities to supply coastal data centers with wave-generated electricity, potentially helping operators coordinate computing demands with available renewable power.
