EcoVadis has announced a new partnership with Novata to integrate verified primary carbon data from its supplier network directly into Novata’s sustainability management platform. This service innovation seeks to address one of the most persistent challenges in corporate climate accounting.

The collaboration effectively creates a seamless pipeline where high-quality, supplier-specific emissions metrics flow into a system designed for private market investors and corporate clients, thereby expanding EcoVadis’ Carbon Data Network and enhancing the precision of Scope 3 reporting. The collaboration essentially proposes a fundamental upgrade from traditional estimation methods—which often rely on broad industry averages—to granular, location- and activity-specific information that carries a verified reliability level.

By embedding EcoVadis’ Carbon Data Reliability Level framework into Novata’s interface, the partnership provides mutual users with a trusted data engine that can calculate carbon footprints with far greater accuracy.
