The City of Kettering, Ohio, has shared several convenient ways to responsibly dispose of Christmas trees, making the transition from festive décor to tidy home hassle-free.

One option is Rumpke Waste & Recycling’s curbside service on your regular collection day. Trees up to 9 feet tall should be cut in half, providing a simple and easy solution for residents who prefer a hands-off approach.

For those who like to handle disposal themselves, the Kettering Yard Debris Center at 1840 Woodman Center Drive accepts Christmas trees and other yard waste every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Additionally, the Montgomery County Solid Waste District offers another drop-off location at 1001 Encrete Lane in Moraine.

All three options ensure that trees are recycled or composted, keeping them out of landfills while providing residents with flexible, convenient ways to wrap up the holiday season.
