Recyclable Powder Detergent Packaging

Mondi has collaborated with Dreco to introduce an advanced packaging solution for powder detergents that incorporates post-consumer recycled (PCR) content while preserving the barrier performance needed for moisture-sensitive products.

Designed for protection against humidity and water exposure across the product lifecycle, Mondi’s re/loop PillowBag demonstrates how recycled materials can be integrated into high-performance flexible packaging for fast-moving consumer goods without sacrificing durability, functionality, or user experience. To strengthen supply chain accountability, Mondi implemented a mass balance methodology under its ISCC PLUS certification, allowing verified tracking and allocation of recycled content throughout production.

Aligned with the company’s MAP2030 sustainability commitments, the re/loop PillowBag has been engineered for recyclability and evaluated using Mondi’s Path to Circularity Scorecard alongside the CEFLEX D4ACE framework.

The packaging also prioritizes consumer usability and brand presentation. Features such as an easy-open design improve everyday handling, while premium-quality graphics enhance shelf visibility and reinforce product appeal at retail.
