At the COP30 climate conference, the multinational corporation Bayer has undertaken a series of initiatives that integrate its business objectives with broader environmental and social goals.

A central component of Bayer's presence involved the restoration of a historic property in Belém, which functioned as an innovation and dialogue hub during the event and is slated for continued community use after the conference concludes. On a policy level, the company participated in a collaborative agreement with the governments of Honduras and Suriname, alongside other corporate entities, to develop a novel framework for carbon credits aimed at preserving tropical forests by channeling private sector investment. In the agriculture sector, Bayer has prominently featured its PRO Carbono platform — a program advocating for regenerative farming practices which it reports now encompasses millions of hectares in Latin America. The company has presented data indicating that participants in this program have achieved a significantly lower carbon footprint for soybean and corn production compared to regional averages.
