Networked Wireless EV Charging
HEVO is expanding connected EV infrastructure with a patented system that coordinates wireless charging stations, vehicles and centralized software. The technology allows location-enabled vehicles to request charging while a server evaluates nearby stations based on availability, operating condition and occupancy. It can also manage reservations, positioning, charging sessions and real-time status updates. Safety features include foreign object detection that automatically stops wireless power transfer when an obstruction is identified.
For automakers, fleet operators and infrastructure providers, this connected approach could reduce the manual steps involved in finding and accessing EV charging while improving vehicle uptime. The technology also strengthens HEVO’s position across stationary and dynamic wireless charging as electric and autonomous transportation expands. Its software-based network could create opportunities in automated depots, fleet management and future vehicle-to-grid services while giving HEVO broader licensing and commercialization potential.
