Schneider Electric is simplifying residential electrification with Schneider Charge, a Level 2 EV charger featuring built-in dynamic load management. Its SmartAmp technology monitors household electricity consumption in real time and automatically adjusts vehicle charging speeds when appliances require additional power. This allows the 11.5 kW charger to operate within a home's existing electrical capacity, potentially avoiding panel or service upgrades that can cost homeowners thousands of dollars. Integrated load management also eliminates the need for separate monitoring hardware.

For homeowners, the system can lower the cost and complexity of adopting faster home EV charging. Electricians may benefit from streamlined installations requiring fewer components, while Schneider Electric can address a broader market of homes with limited electrical capacity.
