Collaborative Ocean Conservation Campaigns

Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming have continued their collaborative environmental initiative with the Ocean Conservancy for a second year. Supporting the Global Sound Waves joint sustainability program, the companies pool resources to mitigate waste and protect marine ecosystems.

The hands-on participation in Ocean Conservancy's program included several components, including an internal innovation challenge, community clean-up initiatives, and educational workshops. The challenge solicited and rewarded employee-proposed strategies for reducing waste across its global properties. These proposals included initiatives for composting food, recycling materials like glass and plastic, and repurposing damaged items into new products. The local clean-ups, on the other hand, engaged a large number of participants, including company staff, guests, and local community members. Finally, the educational efforts deepened employee understanding of environmental issues.
