Paragon Union Forms JV with Asahi Seiren for the Aluminium Market

PARAGON has formed a joint venture with Japan’s leading secondary aluminium producer, Asahi Seiren Co Ltd, to create Paragon Asahi Seiren Sdn Bhd.
The new venture is established between Paragon Union’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Paragon Metal Sdn Bhd, and Asahi Seiren. Paragon Metal will hold a 60% stake, while Asahi Seiren will own the remaining 40%.
The collaboration combines Paragon’s local expertise with Asahi Seiren’s advanced recycling technology, aiming to capitalize on the growing demand for recycled aluminium in Southeast Asia. The venture plans to supply low-carbon aluminium products to the automotive, construction, and sustainable packaging sectors.
Company representatives described the deal as a landmark agreement that introduces cutting-edge technology, enhances the aluminium value chain, supports ESG initiatives, and aligns with Malaysia’s National Industrial Master Plan 2030 objectives.
