The Kuala Lumpur-based branch of Polyplastics Co. Ltd has introduced the PLASTRON long-fibre thermoplastic (LFT) grades, made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) polypropylene. The two products, named PLASTRON SG20011 and RSG 20013, respectively, use 30% PCR content and 30-40% glass fibre for reinforcement. Manufactured to ensure high rigidity and impact strength, both products contribute to a 20% reduction in the business's overall carbon footprint.

Notably, this material swap delivers performance comparable to virgin raw materials. Following this launch, Polyplastics aims to continue expanding its recycled and eco-friendly offerings by adopting materials reinforced with cellulose fibres to support various applications and corporate goals.

Interested parties can learn more about Polyplastics' LFT grades through the company's official website.
