Regenerative Agriculture Funds
McDonald’s Continues to Support the Routes to Regen Project
Kanesa D — January 29, 2026As part of its continued sustainability efforts, McDonald’s is supporting the Routes to Regen project, helping farmers adopt regenerative agriculture to restore soil health, boost biodiversity, and reduce environmental impact.
Through initiatives such as the Routes to Regen project, McDonald’s has collaborated with other major food industry players—including McCain and Waitrose—to make the transition to sustainable farming easier. Farmers participating in the pilot program receive financial incentives, crop warranties, flexible repayment options, technical guidance, and peer-to-peer support.
“At The Royal Countryside Fund, we recognise that farming in a sustainable way can often feel overwhelming for busy farmers who are facing relentless economic, environmental and social challenges. [...] Routes to Regen was therefore designed with this in mind: a practical, consolidated programme that brings together resources, guidance and incentives from industry-leading businesses into one simplified menu of offers," said Keith Halstead, Executive Director of The Royal Countryside Fund.
