Regional Plane Experiences

Phuket is advancing its sustainable tourism ambitions with the introduction of an eco-conscious seaplane service developed by Thai Seaplane Co. Ltd. Designed to improve regional connectivity while minimizing environmental impact, the initiative places ecological preservation at the forefront of its operations. In collaboration with the Faculty of Environment at Kasetsart University, the company is undertaking an Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) to evaluate the project’s potential effects on local marine and coastal ecosystems.

The IEE will play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks such as noise pollution, water disturbance, and wildlife disruption, ensuring the service operates in harmony with Phuket’s natural surroundings. This partnership demonstrates a proactive approach to environmental stewardship, integrating science-based sustainability practices into aviation planning.

By utilizing energy-efficient technology and adhering to rigorous environmental standards, Thai Seaplane aims to offer travelers a modern, low-emission transport option that complements Phuket’s reputation as a leader in responsible, nature-based tourism.
