Circular Festival Systems

Sweden Rock Festival is expanding its use of circular festival systems through a partnership with Duni Group that combines reusable drinkware, compostable food packaging and on-site composting. Designed for a large-scale event that serves thousands of meals each day, the approach aims to reduce waste while maintaining efficient food and beverage operations for attendees and staff.

A key component of the initiative is a high-capacity composting machine that processes food waste and used paper packaging directly at the festival site, converting the material into nutrient-rich compost within 24 hours. The system works alongside reusable glasses and compostable serving products to create a more connected approach to resource management. By handling waste closer to where it is generated, the festival can improve material recovery and reduce disposal demands.

As event organizers increasingly seek practical sustainability solutions, circular systems that combine reuse and composting may help large gatherings reduce environmental impacts while improving operational efficiency
