A Greener Future Awarded 25 Events an AGF Certification

In 2025, A Greener Future (AGF) awarded AGF Certification to 25 festivals and events across 12 countries, recognising their leadership in environmentally responsible event production. The certified events represent some of the most sustainable in the global entertainment sector, having demonstrated measurable progress in reducing environmental impact and supporting long-term ecological resilience.
Recent recipients include "Montreux Jazz Festival, Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and London’s LIDO Festival, alongside established leaders such as Boom Festival in Portugal and Paradise City in Belgium." These events were assessed using AGF’s robust sustainability framework, which evaluates performance across energy use, travel emissions, waste reduction, water stewardship, food sourcing, materials management, biodiversity protection, and community impact.
By meeting AGF’s rigorous standards, certified events show how large-scale entertainment can minimise resource use, lower carbon emissions, protect local ecosystems, and contribute positively to environmental sustainability within the live events industry.
