Mobile Clean Energy Hubs

Bristol is Working with ACT 1.5 to Decarbonize Major 2026 Events

In 2024, Massive Attack staged a large-scale climate action accelerator event in Bristol that broke records for its low carbon emissions, and in 2025, the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority and Bristol City Council announced their work with Massive Attack's ACT 1.5 decarbonization initiative to support music programs in 2026.

"Powered by Grid Faeries and Ecotricity, Geo Pura, and other partners, next summer in Bristol, major events on council sites can follow Massive Attack’s lead by cutting pollution for live events," said Helen Godwin, Mayor of the West of England. This pilot partnership will introduce a temporary mobile power hub that can be utilised by a selection of music and cultural events, as well as ongoing TV and film shoots, guaranteeing renewably powered mobile energy and charging.
