Alipay+ and the Liberty Have Launched Threes for Trees

Alipay+ and the New York Liberty launched There for Trees, a sustainability initiative that commits to planting one tree in New York City for every three-pointer the team makes during home games this season. As of June 19, the Liberty's 91 home three-pointers had translated into a commitment to plant 91 trees across the city, with community partners and volunteers leading the planting efforts.

The partnership names Alipay+ the Liberty's Official Sponsor and Innovation Partner for Sustainability, extending beyond tree planting to additional 2026 initiatives, including the Liberty Sneaker Drive, which will donate footwear to support local entrepreneurs through Soles4Souls, and a team-branded Math Hoops program that builds math skills through basketball-based learning.
