Recycled Town Crier Bears

Warwick, UK Unveils a New Town Crier Bear Made from Recycled Materials

Warwick is expanding its community sustainability efforts with the launch of a new Town Crier Bear sculpture created from recycled plastic bottles collected over the past year through the fish-shaped recycling installation in Pageant Garden.

Developed in partnership with local schools and a regional artist, the project was led by Westgate School. The bear is dressed in traditional town crier attire and depicted “ready to ring his bell."

The sculpture will feature as part of Warwick’s new Eco Bear Trail, launching May 23. Free trail maps will be available to visitors and residents through the Warwick Visitor Information Centre.

The council's statement reads: "Explore the town and discover all of our amazing recycled bears during half-term fun! And of course… his favourite food is "cucumbear" sandwiches! Keep watching as we introduce more of Warwick's Eco Bears."
