Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm Debuts a New Bear Sculpture Made from Christmas Trees
Kanesa D — January 9, 2026Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm has revealed a charming sculpture of a giant bear and cub crafted entirely from recycled Christmas trees.
The installation celebrates the sixth year of the farm's annual festive tree recycling program. Created as a visual centerpiece for the initiative, the artwork also draws attention to the conservation of Andean bears.
Located in Wraxall, the zoo has partnered with St Peter’s Hospice, Weston Hospice, and North Somerset Council to collect approximately 4,000 real Christmas trees. Once gathered, the trees will be repurposed into animal enrichment materials, mulch, and compost, benefiting species including elephants, spectacled bears, meerkats, and others.
Members of the public are invited to drop off real, undecorated Christmas trees at the zoo through January 25, ensuring the festive leftovers are put to meaningful use.
