Australia's Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) committed up to $125 million as a major sustainable investment as an anchor for Australian Ethical's new 'Growth Opportunities Fund,' targeting renewable energy, infrastructure, natural capital, and climate tech. The CEFC contribution involves transferring existing investments into the fund, which also received a $500 million seed pledge from Australian Ethical.

The fund is structured around five major themes: decarbonization, digitalization, urbanization, circular economy and changing demographics. It is also designed to provide wholesale investors with broader access to climate-aligned private-market assets that have been hard to reach.

As the sustainable finance market matures in Australia, this partnership demonstrates how government-backed climate investors can leverage existing portfolios to seed innovation and attract private capital to Australia's net-zero transition.
