AgCertain Industries Broke Ground on a Water Reuse Facility in Iowa

References: businesswire

AgCertain Industries has broke ground on a new wastewater treatment and water reuse facility at its Boone, Iowa, campus, partially funded by the Iowa Water Infrastructure Fund. Once operational, the facility is expected to significantly reduce municipal water consumption, lower wastewater transportation requirements and strengthen the company’s long-term resource efficiency.

Alongside the groundbreaking, AgCertain completed an expansion of its specialty oil-processing operations, increasing capacity for food, nutraceutical, cosmetic and bio-based markets. The upgraded facility adds capabilities for degumming, bleaching, dewaxing, deodorization and free-fatty acid removal across a broader range of feedstocks.

AgCertain has shown how specialty manufacturers can build sustainability infrastructure alongside production capacity, treating water conservation as a core operational priority rather than a compliance requirement.
