Greyparrot Raised $27 Million to Scale AI Waste Data Tracking
Adam Harrie — July 29, 2026Greyparrot raised $27 million in Series B funding, led by Omar Mir, bringing its total funding to $60 million to scale its AI waste intelligence platform and help abate more than one million tons of waste by 2030. The company's Analyzer cameras, installed above sorting belts in recycling facilities across more than 20 countries, have surpassed one trillion waste detections, identifying materials, products and brands in real time.
Recycling leaders including WM, Veolia and Biffa use the technology to improve recovery rates, while consumer brands such as Unilever and L'Oréal use Greyparrot's Deepnest platform to understand packaging performance after disposal. The dataset has identified an estimated 17.4 billion PET bottles and 4.2 billion aluminum items going to waste, representing roughly $2.5 billion in recoverable value. Facilities using the data report efficiency gains of 10% to 30%.
Greyparrot shows how measurable waste data is becoming essential infrastructure for turning the circular economy from an ambition into a functioning, investable market.
