Automotive Sensor Manufacturing

Automotive sensor manufacturing is expanding as Standard Motor Products (SMP) and Techstrong establish a joint venture in Thailand to produce advanced automotive sensors. The new facility will manufacture ABS speed sensors, camshaft position sensors, and other critical vehicle position sensors while giving SMP greater oversight of product development, manufacturing quality, and supply. Expanding production outside China also strengthens the company's global manufacturing footprint and improves supply chain resilience.

As modern vehicles rely on increasingly sophisticated electronic systems, dependable sensor manufacturing has become essential for automakers and aftermarket suppliers. Regional production facilities can reduce supply disruptions, shorten delivery times, and improve quality control while helping manufacturers respond more quickly to market demand.
